3 1/2 months

So much we've done so much still to do. Dresses to confirm, flowers to confirm, reception details to perfect, house to find...muchness, as well as a job...

It'll be nice when it all fits together! :)

Dresses

I don't understand, for one, why it's so difficult to find a place that will hire out wedding dresses!! For those of us on smaller budgets than a couple of thousand for one dress you wear once (while it's nice and all), we need something nicer and affordable. I figured that as guys can hire suits, there must be dress hiring places out there.

Apparently not.

Oh well. Still looking at all the 'pretties' as Kaylee would say on Firefly.

Smells, bells & glass

Went to a wedding today which was a traditional Catholic background. It was nice to see my friend getting married but it was odd the service seemed all jumbled together with bits and pieces all over the place. Was interesting. Also, at the reception (awesome food & roses & candles!) there were bonberblah-blahs and they were glass bells that you rung to make the couple kiss! I didn't understand. Why do you do that?! Anyways, I'm intrigued by how many people are getting married at the moment. Fascinating differences too. :)

So I thought, why not?

I can't think of a specific reason WHY to write a blog, except simply that I love writing & talking!! I think it's all the rage...not sure how much people like READING this but at least I can get a few words out of it and maybe write some wedding stuff...

For example, I didn't realise until recently how much PAPERWORK I'm going to have to do next year! I mean c'mon! I'm changing my name, my address, my living status, my marital status. So much paper...and then there's the signature to worry about.

Oh well, the realities of getting married! Not complaining. But I really do like my signature now.
